Organic TriColour Quinoa is a combination of white, red and black quinoa. It is naturally gluten free and is light with a fantastic texture when cooked making a great alternative to rice and cous cous. Our organically grown tricolour quinoa is a combination of organic white (approx 70%), red (approx 15%) and black (approx 15%) quinoa. This has a great balance of textures.
Quinoa is considered a great source of vegetable protein, and is rich in vitamins, minerals and iron. It is a pseudocereal rather than a true cereal, as it is not a member of the true grass family.
Suggested uses:
Add to salads, stews, casseroles, soups and deserts (such as this quinoa berry dessert here) or bake into lovely gluten free treats.
