Organic Shiitake Mushroom Powder

Our Organic Shiitake Powder is a finely ground, pale-brown powder derived from the fruiting bodies of shiitake mushrooms, scientifically known as Lentinus edodes. These mushrooms are carefully harvested, dried, granulated, and then milled into a fine powder.  Originating from East Asia, the shiitake mushroom is one of the most widely cultivated fungi globally. Its name is derived from the Japanese word "shii," referring to the type of tree commonly found in its natural habitat.

For centuries, shiitake mushrooms have been consumed for their medicinal properties in Asia. Our variety is particularly rich in polysaccharides, with a concentration of 3%, along with other bio-active substances that contribute to various health benefits.

Lentinan, a polysaccharide extracted from Lentinula edodes, is one of the key components found in shiitake mushrooms and is commonly used in nutraceuticals. Additionally, shiitake mushrooms contain β-Glucan, a significant bioactive compound known for its health-promoting properties.
